Within weeks, the first prototype was in development: a Flutter-based try-on app for web and iOS with thousands of garments, multi-item outfit generations, and no need to photograph clothes at all.
The initial release landed in an App Store that had suddenly filled with dozens of competing try-on apps, most paywalled and hard for users to even discover. To offer more value, the product expanded beyond simple swaps, experimenting with body-type-based recommendations so women could quickly find silhouettes that actually suited their shape.
Testers were uneasy about uploading real selfies, so the experience shifted to privacy-first avatars that preserved the fun of experimentation without exposing personal photos. That same instinct to reduce friction led to automated outfit suggestions using weather and "vibes," turning styling into something playful and low-effort rather than another decision to agonize over.
